Biography

James Malton was the younger son of Thomas Malton (Senior), brother to Thomas Malton (Junior). Like his brother, he was authority on perspective. He committed suicide in 1803, a year before the death of his brother Thomas. (extracted from Martin Hardie 1966, vol 1, p. 178).
